Eastriggs

Town, Village or Hamlet: Village
County: Dumfries and Galloway
Grid Reference: NY242662
Date Visited: 10 April 2012
Challenge Status: No video. Need to stop and look around.

On the way back from Hoddom Castle again. I would love to have seen the Devil's Porridge Exhibition, but we ran out of time and money on this trip.  This is why we tend to go back to places of real interest and treat these flying visits as foundations for a more organised trip.

Annan

Town, Village or Hamlet: Town
County: Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
Grid Reference: NY193665
Date Visited: 9 April 2012
Challenge Status: No video.

A very quick visit to Annan on the way to Hoddom Castle.  It was a very dark and dreary day so we didn't stop for long in town and only went to the supermarket on the outskirts.

This is definitely a place I would like to spend a couple of hours sometime in the future.

Ilam - 2nd April 2012

The picturesque village of Ilam is located on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border and at the southern reaches of the Peak District.  We stopped here on the way back from an educational tour of an archealogical dig and survey at Arbor Low in Derbyhire.
